The Girls On Sesame Street Are Just Like You!

Did you know that there is a new girl who just moved onto Sesame Street? Her name is Abby Cadabby and she is close to your age. Abby is 3-years old, a fairy-in-training and has a Fairy Godmother for a mom! Just like you have training wheels on your bike, Abby has a training wand. She has to practice and practice until she gets really good at magic. Right now, poor Abby turns most everything into pumpkins. But that is okay, because it takes time to get good at new things you learn. You will surely already know some of the exciting stuff that Abby is just learning about. She is just learning to count and color with crayons! She does know a lot about fairy tales, though, so it’s more than likely Abby Cadabby will be able to teach you some new stories.  Maybe Abby will make some friends on Sesame Street. She may find it hard to begin with, since she is shy. Abby is curious about her new home, too, so she will surely explore this enchanting new place. Her favorite saying is “That’s So Magic”, which really does describe Sesame Street well.  There are lots of girls there that she can have a good time with. Look, here comes Zoe now!  Zoe, a furry orange monster, is also 3-years old. She is almost always excited! She loves to dress like a ballerina and thinks that Big Bird is the best! Big Bird is her favorite bird on the street. Zoe can get jealous sometimes, just like you do, when she isn’t getting all the attention she wants. She is really fun most of the time though, happy and funny and nice.  It could be that Abby becomes good friends with Rosita. Rosita la Monstrua de las Cuevas, which can be translated to “The Monster of the Caves”, is playful and outgoing. She is really amazing because she can speak both Spanish and English really well. Rosita enjoys sharing her talent in Spanish by teaching a “Spanish word of the day”. If Abby makes friends with Rosita, she will be rewarded with lots of friendly hugs and encouraging words.  So, you see, the girls on Sesame Street are a lot like you! They love their friends, need a lot of practice to become good at things, and even have their bad moments. Abby Cadabby, Zoe and Rosita are all fun creatures that live on Sesame Street.
